Many thanks to my friends and colleagues, Dr. Alexander Prokhorov of the College of William and Mary and Dr. Yvonne Howell of the University of Richmond who were gracious hosts late this past week for events on their campuses. I was delighted to have an opportunity to screen and discuss a pair of less well known but important films from the golden age of the 1930s for two engaged and engaging audiences.
